Adding 3rd row to a 2022 Passport Touring?

I work at a local auto shop and one client of mine asked if it's possible to retrofit a third row from a Pilot into her 2022 Passport Touring. I know the space is much less in the Passport, but has anyone here actually attempted this or seen it done? Is it possible?

Yeah, the difference in length directly impacts the space available behind the second row. I imagine that would involve significant modifications to the vehicle's floor plan, cargo area and maybe even to the fuel tank placement. I'm also concerned about the safety implications as a custom installation of a third row wouldn't go under factory crash testing or proper anchor points for seatbelts and child seats. Maybe if they really need a third row, suggest to them to buy a Pilot instead?

Has anyone measured the actual floorpan dimensions and mounting points between the Pilot and Passport to see if the third-row brackets could be safely and structurally installed?

If the Passport was really meant to carry a third row, wouldn't Honda have offered it from the factory, so is retrofitting one actually safe, or are we crossing into risky DIY territory?
