my car slows down when i release my foot from the gas pedal

this is so weird :unsure: not sure what causes this.

I've had a similar feeling before, and it turned out to be the transmission holding gears differently. Didn't need a fix, just got used to it. But if it's really slowing down more than usual, might be worth having it checked. Maybe when you get it checked, you can say what the issue was hehe, let me know if i'll also get mine checked
 
as the wanderer mentioned it's called engine braking and it varies from one vehicle to another so no panic your passport will be fine. you're free to have them checked but i doubt the mechanics will find something wrong

Alright it seems like the consensus is that what you're experiencing is normal and probably comes down to engine braking as others have said but what's funny is how @intuitiveone is hoping you'll do the legwork with a mechanic just to update them like you're their unpaid tech reporter; honestly I'd say unless it's a really aggressive slowdown that feels off, you're likely just adjusting to the Passport's quirks, though if a check gives peace of mind it's better than losing sleep over a hunch.
