Dash light brightness too low?

I just got a used 2022 Passport, and the interior button lights are really weak at night. I've tried tweaking the light dial, but it's not doing much. Are they all like this, or is something wrong?

Did the dimmer dial change anything at all, or does it feel like the brightness is stuck regardless of adjustment?

have you checked your main infotainment screen settings? Many new cars have a separate menu for display and interior lighting.
Sometimes, a setting for day mode or night mode is stuck, or there's a setting for overall display brightness that's affecting the other lights. You might be able to find a separate setting to brighten up the button lights without affecting the main display
