Customizing 2023 Passport Trailsport

It's been over a month since I acquired a 2023 Honda Passport Trailsport trim. Bought it second-hand, with more than 10,00 miles, tried kinda driving off-road but in totally manageable conditions. Really solid vehicle!

I've done a few standard maintenance work like the oil, differential fluid, air filter, brake fluid. I enjoy doing this routine, and man, doing it yourself makes you see all the difference! I'm also thinking of doing a few tweaks and customizing it some more.

I'm honestly new to off-roading so the wheels and tires are my concern. Do you know where I can check options that are compatible with the Trailsport's suspensions? Thought I'd check those first before personalizing the interior and other accessories. You know, the car seat pad, seat covers, tint, and interior lights. Can't wait!

I'm curious to know what others are also doing!

For wheels and tires, a lot of guys running Trailsports stick with A/T (all-terrain) tires for a good balance of off-road grip and daily drivability. Popular choices are the Falken Wildpeak A/T3W, BFGoodrich KO2, and Toyo Open Country A/T III. If you're thinking of upsizing, just keep in mind that anything beyond a 265/60R18 might rub without a small lift or trimming. As for wheels, stock offset is around +55mm, so if you're swapping, try to stay within a reasonable range to avoid clearance issues.
Once you get the tires sorted, you can invest in the interior like seat covers, tint, and ambient lighting

Trailsport? Interesting, I haven't heard of this trim! 10k miles is good for a secondhand by the way. How much were you able to get it?

Regarding the routine maintenance work, that's cool. I suppose you have a background for being able to do it on your own. But like, one recommendation of experts before me is that you should take it for a comprehensive auto scan to a trusted dealer, not just yourself, because there are some things you wouldn't understand if that's not your career you know. Before checking on wheel upgrades, maybe do that auto scan first for your safety.

For wheels and tires, a lot of folks jump to 265s, looks tougher, still works fine with the stock setup. Once you dial that in, yeah go wild with the interior, seat covers, tint, do you

ive been researching about 2 inch lift kits and was wondering if anyone has experience with those on this same model?

depdnds on much you're willing to take it. Without any modifications upgrades or cutting, I think you'll fit 255 nicely without any changes. Of course, I'm talking about 18 inch models. Anything more than that and your options range from small trimming to a full upgrade, including the suspension. Slightly above this and you'll get away with some trimming and a lift kit and anything more means you'll need to consider some serious upgrades to make the tires fit

Continental CrossContact lx sport or Forceland Kunimoto f36 h/t are by far the best tires for trailsport.
