iPhone 14 Pro Max with Passport TrailSport

I have here a 2024 Passport TrailSport and I'm trying to set up my iPhone 14 Pro Max with wireless CarPlay. Supposedly the TrailSport has it built in, but the system keeps asking to plug in via USB. I already tried HondaLink too but it didn't help at all. For info, my phone shows up under Bluetooth, but there are no options for CarPlay unless it's wired.

Does this trim actually support wireless CarPlay or am I missing a step somewhere? Appreciate any tips if you have already figured it out.

So, here's the scoop about the 2024 Passport, it's pretty much the same as the last few years. Bummer, huh? That means you won't find wireless CarPlay or Android Auto in any model or trim, just good old Bluetooth for calls and music. The manual has got your back when it comes to pairing your phone

But hey, don't lose hope! There are some cool plug-and-play adapters out there for wireless Android Auto and CarPlay, like Ottocast and AAWireless. They might just save the day

Some 2024 Passport TrailSport models do support wireless CarPlay, but setup can be picky. Make sure both Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are enabled on your iPhone as wireless CarPlay needs both. Also, try a wired connection once to "initialize" CarPlay, then unplug and see if it switches to wireless. If that doesn't work, a dealer firmware update might be needed. HondaLink won't help in this case.
