To me the honda passport is one of the most decent mid size SUV there is on the market and ive always been wondering why its not at the top of list together with the CRVs and oddysseys. i cant imagine that it has to do with the marketing budget and stuff, it seems to melike not much people are aware of its existence. any thoughts?

While I agree the Honda Passport is an underrated mid-size SUV, I think you might have a point about its low visibility possibly being tied to marketing budget issues. Though it could also be a case of the Passport not having a strong enough niche or identity to compete with the more iconic CR-V or Odyssey models that dominate their segments, maybe Honda needs to reintroduce it with a stronger push on what makes it unique instead of letting it fly under the radar like a hidden gem no one remembers to unearth.

the Passport is solid, but it always seems to fly under the radar. It's got the v6, awd, and decent off road chops, but I think it sits in a weird spot, too big for people looking at a CR-V, but not quite a 4runner alternative.

Might be a marketing problem. They should really invest on it, yeah? The competitors are a lot, like the 4Runner, Edge, and Grand Cherokee, but the Passport kinda looks more rugged? Maybe it's not a good choice for those who value exterior appeal.

My take is that it depends which countries? I've travelled to some countries where I didnt see a single Honda Passport. lol

I get you. I think the Passport is so underrated, but I guess other car owners choose something with more hybrid options or with a better price
