So far so good, I have only driven it for 1.8k miles and it's smooth. I did an oil change last week and am now wondering when the next one should be. Should it be at around 5k miles? Is there gonna be something wrong if I do this super frequently? Thanks.

Awesome. Honda recommends changing it around 7,500 miles or when the maintenance minder alerts you. 5k is okay, but it might be a little early unless you're really pushing it. I'd say wait until you hit 5k, unless it takes you ages to get there. Are you thinking of sticking with 5k, or just being cautious for now?

It sounds like you're off to a great start, for most cars, oil changes around 5,000 miles are typical, changing it more often won't hurt...just might be a bit extra on your wallet

I totally get it. A 5K can feel pretty safe as long as you're being careful. Plus, that minder usually has a knack for getting the timing just right, don't they?
