loud sound while accelerating?

okay, so the other day i was driving and needed to overtake cuz the guy infront of me was slow like a slowpoke Rodriquez. anyway, i floored it and when the car started accelerating it made a really loud sound. i kinda felt sooooo excited and my adrenaline was high but wanted to ask if its a normal sound or not?

I had a similar moment when i passed a slow car last week. the loud noise from the engine was thrilling. I think its normal when you push the gas hard..

can you describe the sound more? what happened right after the sound? did it startle or jerk in anyway?

what does the loud sound like? lol, dude, be more specific. generally, a loud sound when you're flooring it is considered normal, but it depends on the sound too

Agree. we need more info. Tho more speed, more power, more sound.

seems to me that sudden loud sound could be like the engine really revving up or the tranny downshifting aggressively.

That sounds like a great time! But a sudden loud noise when you're accelerating hard is definitely something you shouldn't overlook. It could be caused by an exhaust leak, a loose heat shield, or even some intake noise if something has moved out of place. I expereinced that myself once, and it turned out to be a cracked flex pipe. It's definitley a good idea to have it checked out just to be on the safe side
